In partnership with Inizio Engage, we created a VR teaching assistant for healthcare assistants to better prepare them for the potential traumas associated with the profession.

The assistant was developed for the HTC Vive Focus 3 in Unity, and features three fully directed and voice acted scenes of patients hurling abuse, suffering, and dying as a potential consequence for the players’ actions. These stressful scenes were intended to simulate stresses of the work environment for healthcare assistants. Included in the experience are several tasks requiring the touch controllers, as well as decisions that create branching paths for the narrative. The experience concluded with a survey intended to test the viability of the application.
